Maxime Hervé has worked on the Love Death & Robots series (Netflix) and Secret LevEl (Amazon)
After studying musicology in Brittany and specializing in film music in Montreal, Maxime Hervé began his career in Los Angeles as assistant for Oscar-winning composer Mychael Danna on the film Transcendence (Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman).
Following this experience, he honed his skills alongside renowned composers and orchestrators in Montreal, London and Berlin. He contributes to various projects such as the Versailles series (Canal+) and the video games Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Resident Evil VII and Final Fantasy Episode Ignis.
Based in Paris since 2017, Maxime devotes himself exclusively to composing. He has scored numerous short films, documentaries and video games. He thus moves from classical music with the documentary Sarah Bernhardt, to US trap in Un Bon Garçon, via Indian sounds in the documentary Terence Lewis and medieval in the video game Crown Wars. But it's above all his passion for orchestral music and techno that shines through in many of his recent projects.
Working closely with animation studio Unit Image, Maxime composed the music for several episodes of David Fincher and Tim Miller's animated series Love, Death & Robots (Netflix). In 2024, he repeated the experience with Secret Level, an animated anthology series created by Tim Miller and available on Amazon Prime.
After taking up the drums at the age of 8, Maxime explored a variety of worlds, mixing orchestral and electronic music with the influences of the great film composers of the 70s and today. Fascinated by cinema and video games, he strives to build bridges between these two mediums, often perceived as opposites.
His work has been recognized on several occasions, including the Young Talent Award at Media Sound Hamburg in 2017.
